Language Study & Reference Editorial Review
**** The "Basic English Grammar" textbook by Betty Azar has received overwhelmingly positive feedback from students and educators alike, highlighting its structured approach and clear explanations. Users appreciate the well-organized layout and the thoughtfully selected practice examples that cater to both learning and teaching needs. Particularly praised are the oral practice exercises included in each section, which encourage interactive learning and reinforce language skills through speaking and listening. Educators find the book an excellent resource, ideal for ESL students, especially those who have access to English-speaking friends, tutors, or teachers who can provide additional support. While some users note that self-study alone may not yield the best outcomes, when combined with interactive practice, this textbook proves effective. Reviewers also commend it for its comprehensive coverage of essential grammar rules, making it suitable for a wide range of learners, including children in homeschooling settings. In addition, it offers ample practice opportunities that refresh a learner's understanding of grammar concepts. However, one notable drawback encountered was the lack of an answer key in the second edition, which has since been addressed in the third edition. Overall, "Basic English Grammar" is highly recommended for anyone looking to strengthen their understanding of English grammar, particularly for non-native speakers. **
